Apres Midi: May 16, 2016 - Alice Wallace with Hobgoblin Hill Puppets

Alice Wallace with Hobgoblin Hill Puppets will be in our studio at 3:30 to talk about her production of Petrushka. Petrushka is to Russia what Punch and Judy is to England, or rather it was, until the Communists tried to destroy it for its subversive, reactionary tendencies. Petrushka is an anti-hero like Punch: he is a rowdy, disrespectful rascal, who drinks and fights too much, and makes fun of everyone– except his audience, whom he regards as his cousins.

Place: Frame Shop Gallery 912
