Caption This Cartoon, Win A Prize

Pablo Helguera

Write Your Own Caption To This Cartoon

Each week, our intrepid artist, Pablo Helguera, comes up with a classical cartoon and an appropriate, if sometimes irreverent, caption.

Now it's your turn. We'd like you to compose a clever caption for this week's cartoon. The best entry will win (insert drum roll here!) a brand new NPR Music tote bag and coffee mug.

Here's how it works. To enter, please submit — via the comments section on this page or via Facebook, or twitter (@nprclassical) — a caption before 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. A panel of NPR judges will determine the winner, based on a combination of humor, creativity, wordplay and style. We will post the winning caption with the cartoon on May 11, 2012.

Good Luck!

And now, the fine print:

No purchase necessary. Any legal resident of U.S. or Canada age 18 or over can enter, except employees of NPR and their family members. By submitting your caption to the contest, you agree: that the caption you write is your own original work which is not copied from others and does not violate the rights of any other person or entry; that the caption will become the property of NPR and that it can be displayed publically in any form or media for any purpose; that NPR can use the your name, city and state for editorial and publicity purposes; that NPR is allowed to edit or adjust the caption for clarity and language; that NPR is not responsible for lost or misdirected entries due to computer failure or any kind of error, including human error. One entry per person please. The prize is not transferable and no substitutions will be granted unless by NPR.
