Hot Chip: An Invitation To Sweat

British band Hot Chip has made a career out of exploring the collision point between heart-rending indie rock, cleverly self-aware pop and spastic, dancefloor-ready beats. Since the breakout success of 2006's The Warning, they've toured the world and headlined festivals, collaborated with the likes of Peter Gabriel and avant-rock vet Robert Wyatt, and launched a smattering of side projects.

Along the way, they've continued to hone their lush, inviting electro-pop sound over the course of three more albums. The latest, the self-produced In Our Heads, was released earlier this summer and earned some of the band's most enthusiastic reactions to date.

Watch Hot Chip — sans producer Joe Goddard, who flew in late because he's a new dad — perform In Our Head's catchiest single, "Night and Day," in The Current studios, the day before the band embarked on its North American tour.
