Yodeling traditions from Switzerland and Austria kick off tonight's edition of EARTHBEAT (7pm-8pm Central Standard on either 88.7FM locally or www.krvs.org) as well as Oktoberfest sounds out of Germany. Also: tangos from Argentina by Juan-Jose Molini and Astor Piazzolla.

Sounds of India are spotlighted on this tonight's edition of EARTHBEAT (7pm-8pm Central Standard on 88.7FM locally orwww.krvs.org) including vocalists, Kiran Ahluwalia and S.P. Balasubramanyam, The Shyam Brass Band and an extended raga performed by South Indian instrumental ensemble, Vadya Lahari.

Tonight's EARTHBEAT (7pm-8pm Central Standard on 88.7FM locally or www.krvs.org) spins a set of Yiddish-Swing taken from a 1940 radio broadcast along with the newest recording by 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra. Also featured: fiddle music of Northern Europe and World fusion from the likes of 3 Mustaphas 3, Darbuki Kings and Anoushka Shankar.
