We'll get you aquainted with new and upcoming releases by vocalist/slide guitarist, Valerie June; Camera Obscura and Queens of the Stone Age. Also: some Lil' Band o' Gold and a slew of psychedelic relics by The Electric Prunes, Jefferson Airplane (by request), Spirit and David Crosby.

THE MEDICINE BALL CARAVAN rolls out into June (11am-noon Central Standard on 88.7FM locally or www.krvs.org) with some spiritual sounds from Bobby McFerrin's new release along with some Mercy Brothers and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Also: the new Hanni El Khatib, Fights, Cones of Uncertainty and Tom Tom Club mixed with some classic Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Blue Oyster Cult and Patti Smith.

Thursday morning's MEDICINE BALL CARAVAN takes flight from 11am - noon Central Standard locally on 88.7FM or www.krvs.org - new and recent offerings by Booker T., Taj Mahal, The Viatones, Brass Bed and Julian Lennon will soar aside classic tracks by Lucinda Williams, The Beatles, Elliott Smith, The Rolling Stones, Procol Harum, Frank Zappa / Mothers and a spiritual message from Pastor John Rydgren.

Local musicians Christine Balfa and Courtney Granger drop by to talk about and spin tunes by the legendary George Jones on this morning's MEDICINE BALL CARAVAN (11am-noon Central Standard locally on 88.7FM or online at
